Returns & Exchanges

Personalised products – no right of withdrawal. Every book we sell is made to your specifications and clearly personalised. In accordance with Article 16(c) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and, for customers in the United Kingdom, Regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, the 14-day cooling-off period and right of withdrawal do not apply to goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised. Because each book is uniquely produced for you, all sales are final once production begins, and orders cannot be cancelled or returned.

Spotted a mistake in your order? Contact us at mail@youarethestarbooks.com as soon as possible after ordering. If production of your book has not yet started, we will gladly correct your personalisation details or cancel the order.

Faulty or damaged items

Your statutory rights in respect of faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods are unaffected. We will provide a re-printed copy of the book free of charge if the original is deemed to have a print fault or if the personalisation does not match the selection made in placing the order.

If you do receive a damaged product, please return it to You Are The Star Limited, Boscrege Farm, Boscrege, Ashton, TR13 9TG, UK. We will notify you once we've received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you'll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. If more than 15 business days have passed since we've approved your return, please contact us at mail@youarethestarbooks.com.
